This week's trader news

Posted by Cherry Pullinger on

It’s been another busy week at our place, the sun has certainly been shining, which always makes the working day that much more pleasurable. Thankfully, being a converted chapel means it’s very cool downstairs so if the warm weather continues why not every now and then to chill out a bit!

This week we have had a press photographer in who has been photographing lots of items for our Christmas look book or catalogue, we can’t wait to see the finished shots and we promise to share some of them with you next week.

Also next week we’re making over the floor in the entrance and till area, and where Cato and Karen have their furniture and bits and pieces. So from Monday, please use the side door to come in. There will be lots of signs on the front door to remind you too! If you’d like to see what the finished boards will look like do ask and we can show you a sample. We’re really sorry for the inconvenience, bear with us as hope we’ll be all done within the week.

Muddy Stilettos Awards 2016 Finalists

We received some great news this week as we’ve made it to the finals of the Muddy Stiletto’s Awards 2016 in the Best Emporium category. You can vote for us here, but please be sure to select The Emporium Somerset (Wellington) as there are a couple of similarly named entrants. The closing date and time for entries is 14th June at 12pm.

Products and traders to check out this week

The wonderful folk at Kit & Kaboodle have some fab naturally hollowed-out driftwood pieces that are perfect for indoors or outdoors and give a real beach vibe to the place.

This Bottle Tote slat carrier is perfect for the kitchen, bathroom or dining room and contains six glass bottles.

Sharon French popped in last month to drop off some lovely new Father’s Day stock. There’s not long to go now so be sure to pop in and pick up a pressie for Dad. Sharon has some fab purely decorative embroidered ties on show.

If you want to introduce some beautiful artwork to your home then check out this shallow canvas pained by Lindse Saunders. We just love all the colours.

Another of our fab artists is Jan Shayler, who creates fantastic watercolours. We particularly love this hare, which is available from us now.

Also on Wednesday Selena from Mouse House Vintage Interiors was in re-arranging her unit with lots of lovely things, come and check out her oversized match boxes, perfect for storing bits and bobs, she’s also managed to get a sofa in her space to add to the theatre and there are some lovely new homeware items for you to see.

Summer tea party

Preparations for our summer tea party on July 7 are well under way now. The party will run from 4.30pm until 8pm and we’ll have delicious strawberries and cream being served in return for a donation to charity.

There will also be a pop-up café on-site and a variety of demonstrations will be taking place throughout the evening too. You can find out more here.
