If you want to attract butterflies into your garden this summer, then we can give you a helping hand.
We’re supporting this year’s Big Butterfly Count from now until August 7 with a ‘nectar bar’ full of butterfly attracting flowers and lots of themed products available.
The Big Butterfly Count is a fantastic way for people to get outside and involved with nature so we thought we’d support it the only way we know how – we’ll have lots of fantastic flowers and plants in stock that attract butterflies, so you can pop in and buy some for your garden in order to attract our winged friends and take part in the count at home.
We also have some fab butterfly-themed products in stock such as cushions and artwork for you to purchase too.
The Big Butterfly Count is a nationwide survey aimed at helping us assess the health of our environment. It was launched in 2010 and has become the world’s biggest survey of butterflies.
More than 52,000 people took part in 2015, counting more than 580,000 individual butterflies and day-flying moths across the UK.
Butterflies make perfect biodiversity indicators and declines in the butterfly population are an early warning for other wildlife losses, which is why it is so important that we support them.”
