Guests at Millfield Prep’s Annual Dinner Dance will have the chance to bid for a place at one of Cato’s/our Autentico chalk paint workshops and raise money for charity during a silent auction next month (December, 2016).
The voucher for the chalk paint workshop has been donated to the Millfield Prep School Annual Dinner Dance and silent auction on December 3 in aid of Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW).
Bernadette Antonsen from the Parents’ and Friends’ Committee at Millfield Prep School, said: “We’re extremely grateful to The Emporium Somerset and its owner Cato Cooper for the very kind donation of the voucher, which entitles the highest bidder to a place on one of Cato’s chalk painting workshops.
“The voucher will be auctioned off to the highest bidder and all of the proceeds will go to CHSW.”
I was more than happy to donate a voucher to one of my workshops for this very worthy cause.
The highest bidder will be able to come along to a workshop of their choice and learn more about the basics of Autentico chalk paint and how to use it.
The workshop includes learning how to paint furniture from start to finish with useful handouts and tips included. I will provide wooden boards with some detailing so that techniques can be tried out with the different paints and we will cover distressing techniques as well as layering. It’s perfect for anyone who is creative and crafty and wants to learn a new skill.
